I had a great holiday break! I went to Paris and had LOTS of fun! Like going to Disneyland! Where I rode the TOWER OF TERROR !! It's a ride. It takes you really high up and...DROPS YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! (My mom screamed a lot.) Another fun thing I did was watching a Stitch show where Stitch gets lost in space. Then you find him and he does a dance were he shakes his butt around and he really understands you as he's talkin' to the audience. (Stitch is actually on a screen.) Like he stole a space ship and he said a guy in the audience named bilburt did it. And last but not least we went to a restaurant based on Ratatouille (rat.a.too.ee) where everything is sized as if you are a rat. (The place had deeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious butter.) EXTRA INFO:1.Stitch is a cartoon character from Lilo & Stitch. 2.If you ever go to the Ratatouille restaurant and you are or have a kid, order the little chef menu or the little gourmet menu. 3.Tower of Terror: NOT (DID YOU HEAR ME NOT!!!) for kids 7 or younger. (I'M SERIOUS IT FREAKS THOSE KIDS! LIKE I HEARD A MOM TALKING TO HER 2 YEAR OLD "don't worry we're not going to drop down like last time" CAUSE THE 2 YEAR OLD WAS FREAKIN' OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!) This gargoyle is scary because he has cool ribs that look scary and his face is scary because he has one eye closed and his face is scrunched on one side. It also looked like he was coming out of hole. When I went inside the church it had a bunch of big colored windows and a lot of them were scenes of Jesus’s life. I liked that inside the church there were areas for each saint and it has a statue and colored glass window for each saint that said what they had done. You could light a candle and remember somebody or pray or make a wish. If I had more time to explore I would have read more about the saints because they are interesting. I recommend you go to Paris to some time. It is very fun. BYE! | My Christmas break was different from the one in Vermont. It was two days longer then the Vermont one. I never really got into the Christmas spirit. Of course most of it was in Paris where I had a good time in a non-Christmasy way. I went to Disneyland and you might think “Oh, there will be a ton of Christmas stuff there! It’ll get you into the Christmas spirit!” But… NO! I mean, sure, there was a lot of Christmas stuff there, but it wasn’t enough to put me into the Christmas spirit. Anyways, anyone who wants to know about my trip to Disney, the next part is an email I wrote to my teacher about my trip to Disney. I did other things in Paris besides Disney like going to Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a big church where the Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place. We had to climb like a million steps to get to the top of a bell tower where I saw a lot of gargoyles. One gargoyle was munchin’ on some grapes. I thought the scariest gargoyle was this one. I liked the Eiffel Tower too. It was really big and it took a long time to climb down one of the stairways from the 2nd floor to the ground. The 2nd floor was really cool. It had a gift shop and it had an ice skating rink. It had a red model of the Eiffel tower. We read that the red model might have actually been what the Eiffel Tower looked like originally because the Eiffel Tower was originally painted red. On the top floor there was Eiffel’s office and it actually was Eiffel’s office in the olden days. Inside Eiffel’s office there were wax figures of Eiffel and his daughter and this guy who invented the light bulb named Thomas Edison. |
